This paper introduces Infini-attention, an innovative mechanism for Transformer-based Large Language Models (LLMs) to efficiently handle infinitely long inputs with minimal memory and computational overhead. It integrates compressive memory into the attention mechanism, allowing models to manage inputs of up to 1 million tokens.

Key findings highlight Infini-attention's superior performance on long-context tasks such as language modelling and book summarization, outperforming baselines with a 114x reduction in memory usage.
