Building Knowledge Graphs with LangChain & Neo4J

The world is a complex weave of ever changing relationships and facts. Maintaining strict structures to explain how it works can be a fools arrand, leading to inaccuracies and false models of the world. One tool that we can deploy to address this problem is the Knowledge Graph. Brought into recent relevance by Google in 2012, the knowledge graph has emerged as a more natural way to describe our complex world. It doesn’t come without it’s own complications however. They are often challenging to setup, with expert knowledge and context required to create and maintain the changing relationships.

Gartner have recently put Knowledge Graphs on the 1-3 tech radar for generative technologies and with AI advancing into the realm of context and understanding, the combination sets up the time of the small knowledge graph, used to map context and knowledge in a particular domain. In this tutorial I walk through building one with Neo4j, LangChain & GPT-4o to map the comparison between Garmin watches pulled from YouTube transcripts.
